About Roopal
Roopal Pujara Lalaji knew she wanted to become a psychologist since her 6th-grade science fair project on dream interpretation. After starting a peer counseling program in high school and volunteering at various mental health programs, she confirmed her passion for psychology. During her predoctoral internship, Roopal was drawn to obesity medicine, seeing it as a unique opportunity to use her knowledge of psychology and behavioral change to assist individuals in improving their physical health and overall well-being. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in bariatrics and has since worked at multiple hospital-based and clinical multidisciplinary medical weight management programs. Roopal's career has focused on helping clients understand and address their relationship with food and weight. She aids clients in building motivation, gaining insight, engaging in behavioral change, and striving towards a healthier mind and body.
